Prostate
health - What men need to know
When we think about men's health, one of the first
areas that comes to mind is prostate health. The reason? More than half of
all men (nearly 60%, in fact) between the ages of 40 and 59 have an enlarged
prostate gland.
This condition is known as benign prostatic
hyperplasia (or BPH). Symptoms of this condition include: progressive
urinary urgency, frequency and awakening during the night to empty the
bladder—sometimes as often as three or four times a night. Also observed is
a reduced force of urinary flow, intermittence and hesitancy of flow. If
left untreated, this condition can eventually obstruct the bladder outlet
and result in retention of blood in the urine.
Saw palmetto extract can be effective in up to 90%
of cases of BPH. Other supplements, including zinc and
Vitamin E are also believed to be helpful for prostate health. (Goldenrod
contains all of these ingredients and can help improve prostate
health. Click here for more
information.)
Other health conditions of interest to men and
women, including heart disease, osteoarthritis and more are covered in
separate sections of HealthWorks2000.com.
In particular, there is a wealth of valuable
information about CoQ10, including what it is and how it can help if you are
taking a statin drug (Lipitor, Zocor and others). Plus, you’ll find
information on how Q-Gel® CoQ10 is being used to help people with
neurodegenerative diseases, mitochondrial cytopathies, renal failure and
many other health conditions.
